Overview
A peculiar little car with shrunken Roll-Royce styling that doesn’t quite fit the short wheelbase. It is, however, roomy and comfortable, and assembled from good-quality materials. As long as you are in no real hurry, the unique-to-this-model aluminium-headed 1250cc sidevalve engine has enough torque to make decent progress, though its maximum speed is 55-60mph. It is very economical though, and enthusiastic club back-up is there to keep it on the road. Just as when it was new, this makes an intriguing alternative to a Minor or Austin Devon.
