The New Forest Run was well attended. Considering how many other events were on the same weekend, we have taken it as a compliment that so many thought our event was the one to attend, with many making the most of the discounted entry fee to the Bovington Tank Museum. We had mixed results at Beaulieu Spring Auto Jumble, selling a few bits over the weekend. We were blessed with missing all the downpours that were happening all about us, with only a couple of spots over the weekend, but the threat of rain and apparently there was a football match on the Saturday, kept some of the punters away, that said, it was a good social weekend. The 20th Hardy Country Classic Tour, always a good day out and surprisingly well supported by Triumphs this year, with two Southern Crosses, at least five Spitfires, two Heralds and two Vitesses, total number of cars, one hundred and seventeen. Starting at Hampton Farm, Bockhampton, lunch stop, Melbury House and finishing up at The Riviera Hotel, overlooking Weymouth. One of the things that we dread happening on our New Forest Run, happened!!. . . . we met a milk tanker coming the other way on the narrowest part of the route, not only that, this one had a full sized trailer on tow. So trying to back up twenty or so classics was a logistical feat, needless to say, the tanker driver was a little stressed, but generally good natured. The Wessex TR Group have kindly invited us to their annual car night on the evening of Tuesday 23rd July at IBM Social Club, Hursley, details of which I sent last month via the Wessex Triumph Group email. Silverstone Classic, 26th – 28th July. We are planning to go on the Thursday and come back on the Sunday, so we will not be able to attend the monthly meeting, we will be under canvas! I am surprised that only eight of us have booked, it is a brilliant event and very good value! Trevor has issued a comprehensive events list for all to peruse, which I have also forwarded to all our local members. Which ones will be attended as a club needs to be debated. More than likely it will be a few of us deciding the week before. If it is possible, I will try to email all to see if you are interested. Hopefully we will be able to fix a show or two, on a weekend that will suit everyone.      Next meeting will be at the Tyrrells Ford, Thursday 25th July. Martin Â
