We had our first run of the New Year on the 5th. Rob Lingard organised everything but the weather, but then he has previous! 3 intrepid Triumphs of Rob, Allan Littlejohns and Dave Frost, did the run from Paigntonâ€™s Occombe Farm Shop, via Torquay, Meadfoot Beach, up past â€˜Millionairesâ€™ Rowâ€™, via the coast road to Teignmouth, then up and down Haldon Hill to our destination the Smugglers at Dawlish. Meeting Robert Hodgsonâ€™s Herald there, we had a total of 41 to eat. Great day and booked again for January 2026!
Januaryâ€™s Club Night was another good one, new attendees always welcome and three Triumphs in the car cark. Dave and Shane had come over from Exmouth, Dave in the TR6 and Shane brought his very nice recently acquired 1500 Spitfire. Cornwallâ€™s loss is Devonâ€™s gain on this one, a very nice looking car. Bob brought the Vitesse up from Plymouth and we welcomed Peter J to his first Devon Club Night â€“ welcome from over the Tamar! Jon introduced his friend Chris who is restoring an American sourced TR4 which we look forward to seeing later in the year.
