Club Night at the Star saw a full pub – just as well we had given them our numbers! Several cars in the car park as the evenings pull in. In particular it was good to see Maurice and Mary with their freshly painted Maple 1500TC, and Bob with his immaculate GT6 Mk2. Dan’s estate, Steve’s Stag, Bob S’s Vitesse, Graeme’s Spitfire, Phil’s GT6 Mk3 and Richard’s MGA. The latter glad to be back in the UK after a holiday in Spain involving 10 breakdowns in a day – it wouldn’t have happened had he been driving a Triumph would it? Still a number of shows attended in varying weather which alas put off some from attending the Rotary show at Lyneham House - us included. The traditional swansong to the season - the show at Ladys Mile, Dawlish, was cancelled due to the waterlogged ground, but the SW Classic Car Club show on hardstanding at Trago Mills went ahead, dodging the rain until the afternoon when it became torrential. I made the trip to Lubenham, via Jane's, for the AOs meeting followed by the Club AGM. Really good meetings where AOs and members generally had a lot of input.
