Hi all. Dave Evennett has kindly provided a report on our recent Winter Rally:- Winter Rally Last Sunday, 24th Feb we welcomed 25 people on our Winter Rally. The weather was so lovely it could have been the summer rally and this surely contributed to the success of the day. Dave had worked hard on detailing the route and just for a change he didn't get lost, although there were some red faces as a few souls confessed to taking a wrong roundabout! From the Tudor Rose to Caerwys where we stopped for lunch the distance was 40 miles. This took in pretty roads and views new to many plus a pub stop for coffee and loo in the quiet village of Graigfechan. 'The Three Pigeons' where we stopped is situated on a hillside and has an outdoor eating area overlooking Snowdonia in the distance. This was greatly enjoyed. On arriving in Caerwys we pulled into The Piccadilly Inn where we met up ,with Derrick Binning in his lovely silver Spitfire and Geoff and Len, old friends of mine from Old Colwyn who arrived in a rather swish Audi A8. The food was excellent there and we all had a great time before finding our own way home. Dates for April: Tuesday 2nd Club Night, Cottage Loaf, 7.30pm Thursday 18th Breakfast: Bluebell cafe, Chester Road, Neston 9.30am
