Tracey and I had a busy start to the month attending two shows that we had not intended to visit. The MG and Triumph show at Stoneleigh is one that we have not been to for a few years but when we were asked if we could help on the club stand it seemed like a good opportunity to see what it is like these days. As is often the case our stand was popular and we were kept busy most of the day. It's always a good experience meeting members and fellow enthusiasts at these shows. Bernard does a grand job of making sure we are in the warm hall and we were giving away free coffee and tea so it was definitely worth coming over to our stand. Jonathan was there with Beep, his 2.5 PI and reaped the reward of his efforts by winning best Triumph of the show and well deserved too, even if he was on the 2000 2500 Club stand. The London Classic Car Show is one that I have had ambitions of getting the TSSC display at since it first started and we hope if everything goes to plan this will happen next year. Having been given tickets it was an offer difficult to refuse. It is a little what I call high end with some lovely cars on display and the grand avenue allows you to see and hear some of the cars moving, which you don't see at many shows. We have now had our first run out of the year, with a lovely drive starting at our monthly meeting venue at Overstone Manor through the local countryside to The Bell at Odell where we had a very nice Sunday Lunch. Thanks to Janice and Mick for taking the time and effort to organise it for us. If anyone would like to join the Bicester Heritage Scramble with there cars on 28th April take a look at Oxford Areas Facebook page for the code to be part of their display, otherwise you will be in the public car park. The first Earls Barton Car and Bike Meet will be on Wednesday 3rd of April. See you soon
