With Russell getting caught up at work, and my previous deputy notes writer Peter away on holiday (again) it reverted to me to scribble a few notes, and it will be a few as I promptly forgot as usual and i am writting this after deadline day hoping Bernie has a few spare inches. A good turn out, with a few Triumphs (3 I think it was) braving a normal March night. It is good to see that Chris has started his therapy for his case of Triumph Hooveritus by producing the first of a year long series of articles on the cars that he has been rebuilding. Well it will be year long if he does one a month! They say talking about a problem is a good start, and hopefully he will do a lot of that over the coming months. It was good that he didn't mention any of his "dealers" that have been feeding his addiction, but suffice to say I may be a bit guilty. On another good note, well for my wife, I too have been talking and it has resulted in the sale of one of my cars, only the second Triumph I have ever sold. The Herald estate is off to North Norfolk in the near future, along with a selection of parts. It needed someone to look after it and do it justice, as despite looking a bit tired, it was surprisingly solid, but living outside was doing it no favours in the long term. So we welcome Jacob to the Herlad club, as his Hooveritus infection is just taking hold. We will have himn up to 10 soon if he hangs round Russell, Chris and myself long enough. Not so good news for my wife is that my Herald convertible is on its way back from Norfolk soon after it's monumental rebuild and respray, so the gap in the garage will be quickly refilled. My sister keeps nudging me to attend the classic car meet on the quay in Colchester which meets each month, on a Sunday morning, so if anyone fancies a trip, or already goes, let me know. http://www.romanroadsters.co.uk/ In other news that I can remember, Brian is struggling with fitting GT6 quarterlights to Lightning. We suspect he may need to find some original GT6 window winder mechanisms as adapting Spitfire ones isn't working. See you all on first Tuesday in April. Cheers
